Does anybody know of a baseball strength training program both in and off season, especially in season as that seems to be most of the year. This is for my
almost 20 yr. old. He plays college ball at a small D3 program. I don't think they get a lot of direction (or good direction) on weight lifting. He usually
lifts 5-6 times a week on a upper and lower body split. I would like to see if I could convince him to do 2-3 times a week. How would this mix with baseball
practice and games? I would hate for him to do 20 rep squats and then have trouble running the next day at a practice or a game. Or doing chins and
dips/presses and then not being able to get the bat on a good fastball. Many coaches base playing time on practice performance so if your hobbling, they may
think that you are really hurt and not play you for a while and of course if its a game you better perform or we'll find someone who can.
