			<description><![CDATA[ Man this place is not as lively as it once was! Anyway, since I have been training for a Highland Game this coming weekend I thought I&#39;d share what I have
been doing in the weight room. My workouts had varied some with explosive work doing &quot;stone&quot; squats ( a version of single leg squats), alot of
Olympic lifts and supplemental lifts and  Complexes. Yesterday&#39;s workout took one hour exactly, including the time it took to change clothes. Short, heavy
and hard.

picked on lift, lightened the weight and did 42 reps with it,. I chose the overhead squat. It felt so good, I did cleans that way next. For awhile I was afriad
this might be my last birthday on Earth! My heart was pounding and as Hoffman would say I was &quot;huffing and puffing&quot;! I then did some push jerks and

a plate behind my head as it seems to be a harder exercise. My question is; is there an advantage in using a dumbbell on the chest, rather than holding a plate

			<title><![CDATA[ Observations ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ While at the gym the other day, I couldn&#39;t help but notice a few variations on some old exercises.  Maybe it was because the schools are out for Easter
recess, but I did see some funny stuff. For example:  (1) One-Arm Reverse Grip Pushdowns.  A new twist to an already useless exercise.

(2) Cable Crossover except this time the person was standing between the cables and grabbed the handles in a front double biceps pose and just flexed his arms.
